Stepping up With Riders and Community Partners for Those in Need

Warm and healthy feet are essential to the mobility of those in need, but socks are often one of the least donated items at shelters and support centers. This shortfall becomes even more urgent as temperatures begin to drop in the winter months.

To help fill this need, we teamed up with riders and partner organizations across the country to #SpinItForward during the week of Giving Tuesday, a day to set aside to encourage generosity and support nonprofits and community organizations around the world. For every e-bike or scooter ride taken during the week, we pledged to donate a pair of socks to a local partner organization to help those in need—up to 25,000 pairs!

The Results Knocked Our Socks Off

Thanks to our riders and 20+ partner organizations, like The People Concern in Santa Monica, CA, we reached our goal and donated 25,000 pairs of socks to help people experiencing homelessness.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Spin in their effort to give back,” said John Maceri, CEO of The People Concern. “We’re grateful for Spin’s contribution this holiday season and we appreciate their commitment to making their service both equitable and accessible with programs like Spin Access.”

Senior Vice President of Partnerships at Spin Ted Bronstein said, “The partnerships we form around the world are incredibly important to us.” He added, “We want to be integral members of the community and support our fellow citizens in their times of need. This program is just one of many ways we are focused on giving back.”

We’re extremely thankful to our community partners across the United States that helped #SpinItForward for those in need.

Spinning Forward Together

Our commitment to the communities we serve doesn’t end with Giving Tuesday. Through programs like Spin Access and Move PGH, we work year round with local governments, community organizations, nonprofits, local businesses, and transit authorities to improve urban accessibility and mobility equity.

Moving forward, we’re excited to help pave the way toward universal basic mobility through partnerships in Bakersfield, Pittsburgh, and beyond.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
